Within Indigenous communities, there was a period known as the boarding school era, during which children were forcibly removed from their families. This has resulted in profound generational trauma. Children were compelled to abandon everything familiar in an effort to assimilate into non-Indigenous society. The government’s policy was encapsulated by the phrase, "Save the man, kill the Indian." Many children never returned home; mass graves and unmarked burial sites have been discovered on the grounds of Residential Schools. In response, we stand with our ancestors, affirming that "Every Child Matters." We actively support this movement and raise awareness to ensure that Indigenous children are recognized and their voices heard.

It represents an image he has contemplated deeply, reflecting during moments of thought, patience, and prayer. Lexie perceives the Creator in his daily life, drawing strength from his profound heritage. He is committed to honoring his ancestors, who fought valiantly for our existence today, with a primary focus on the core of our heritage: Family.
